Amangiri (Canyon Point, Utah, USA)

Amangiri (Canyon Point, Utah, USA)

Amangiri blends into untouched red-rock country, over 900 acres of the vast and majestic Colorado Plateau, the original Wild West. In this desert landscape of canyons, mesas, ridges and gorges, the modernist Suites of Amangiri and the tented Pavilions of Camp Sarika offer an inspiring welcome to one of the world’s most dramatic secluded settings. The suites and tented pavilions are just a stone's throw away from the stunning wilderness of Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park.

This postcard-ready resort might appear as a mirage among miles of arid Utah desert, but the wellness sanctuary by architects Marwan Al-Sayed, Wendell Burnette, and Rick Joy is a true-blue oasis built right into the surrounding Navajo sandstone. The 25,000-square-foot spa’s design echoes and emphasizes its stunning natural landscape with an earthy, sun-baked color palette, ample use of natural materials, calm reflecting pools, and skylights throughout. Typical spa amenities like a sauna, steam room, and cold plunge are available to visitors alongside more unique offerings, like fire pit aromatherapy, dark exposure sessions, and an “Open Sky Sound Journey,” which includes a hike to a nearby natural amphitheater for a sound bowl ceremony.
